Our Story
Nova Consultants Ltd. is a locally owned business located in New Castle, Delaware. Nova Consultants has been serving the Tri-State area in the water treatment industry for over 40 years. Our approach is unique in that we provide individualized treatment programs utilizing state-of-the-art technology with unmatched technical support. It is this approach that separates us from competition. The Big Water Treatment Companies will provide the latest technology but not the site service from an experienced technician. While the small guy may be able to provide the better service, he lags in technology and capabilities. Chuck & a truck is limited to carrying 5 gallons pails in the back of his van with a single product treatment line. Using our years of experience, we have developed and produced our own line of water treatment chemicals. We offer delivery services so that there are no customer handling chemicals. We also provide emergency service calls and chemical deliveries.
Our business philosophy is to form extended business partnerships. No Customer is too small, our customers are not just number or sales figure, they are business partners. In some cases, these partnerships have lasted 10, 20, 30 and almost 40 years. Our customer base is wide. It includes healthcare facilities, senior living, insurance providers, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and museums. Our customer list is almost a who’s who in the area. The only one missing is you.

Our Founder
Nova Consultants was founded by Raymond Lyons. Ray was a football player from Philadelphia. He played for North Catholic in High School. In college he played for his beloved alma mater, Villanova University. The company derived its name from being a proud member of the Nova Nation. The original headquarters for Nova Consultants was in Folcroft, PA. Our headquarters moved to its current location in 1996 so that we could be closer and better serve our customer base.
Ray was an old-school businessman, where his word meant everything. Deals were closed with a note on a napkin and a handshake. Ray believed in providing quality chemical coupled with outstanding customer service. These beliefs are still the backbone of our business philosophy.
Meet The Team
Janet Brandt
Officer Manger
Janet has been with Nova Consultants for over 40 years working in various positions throughout her career before settling into her current position of running the office and warehouse. Janet or Elaine, as some know her, is the voice of Nova. She fields all the phone calls at the office, does custom invoicing & collection of bills, controls the warehouse inventory, while handling our vendors. But her most difficult job was managing Ray.
Matthew Lowry
Senior Engineer
Matt is in his second stint with Nova and has over 15 years working in various field positions with Nova. Matt is a graduate of U.S. Merchant Marine Academy while also serving in Operation Desert Shield & Storm. Matt joined Nova after completing his seafaring days. Matt has numerous professional certifications and licenses. This includes a State of Delaware Pesticide Applicator License, ASSE 12080 certification for Legionella Water Management Plan and a Stationary Engineer license. Matt was a recent participant at the 2024 AWT Annual Convention and Exposition in Louisville Kentucky. Matt prepared technical paper and presented it at the Convention.
Warren McLaughlin
Lead Technician
Warren has been with Nova for over 7 years working various positions at the company including field service engineering, estimating and project management. Warren has his ASSE 12080 certification for Legionella Water Management Plans while currently working on other certifications.
Bryan Uretta
Service Technician
Bryan is the newest member of our service staff and has been with the company for three years since his graduation from high school. Bryan is a home-grown talent as he is a graduate from the New Castle Vo-Tech program. Bryan graduated from DelCastle High School where he studied HVAC. Bryan has his universal refrigerant certification and has OSHA 10 Hour training.
